Sample Student Resume
When looking for a sample student resume the student should first consider what should and should not be included. The student should always include their contact information that is permanent. This is not a dorm address as you will be moving out upon graduation. If you do not plan on owning a home after college or renting an apartment, it’s best to use your parent’s address on your student resume.
This sample student resume information is given as a guide to students that are seeking a resume template. The first section of your resume should be your contact information. Next listed is your education history. If you are still in college and do not have work experience, be sure to include relevant courses that you’ve taken that will let the potential employer know that you can handle the position. Next, your relevant work experience and internships should be listed. Be sure to highlight any accolades that you received and your duties with the company. Employers want to know that you can handle the job and by showing you have work experience, even through internships, will greatly improve your job success. Finally, the last section of your sample student resume is the references page. Your references should be related to the industry you are applying for. If you do not have relevant references, use your professors. Be sure to contact them before hand for their permission to be used as a reference and also to give them a heads up in case they receive a phone call from the employer.
